ASTM A192 is a standard for seamless carbon steel boiler and superheater tubes with minimum wall thickness for high-pressure applications. The dimensions and thicknesses of the pipes normally supplied in accordance with this specification are 1/2 “to 7” outside diameter (12.7 to 177.8 mm) and minimum wall thickness is 0.085 to 1.000 “(2.2 to 25.4 mm). Tubes of other sizes may be supplied provided they meet all other requirements in this specification.
